What We Are Made Of

All of our products are made with simple, skin-loving ingredients, and each soap recipe is thoughtfully crafted for the best results.

Milk

Milk is such a great ingredient in any bar of soap.  Our sheep milk soaps are batched using milk from our own flock.  Sheep milk is naturally high in fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals which in turn is great for your skin.  The natural sugars also found in milk help boost lather resulting in a creamy, bubbly bar of soap.

Tallow

Another great ingredient is tallow.  The tallow in each product is locally sourced from right here in central Kansas.  Tallow is packed full of great vitamins and minerals along with amino acids that does wonders for your skin!!

Clays

Clays are excellent for drawing out impurities and are rich in minerals that nourish your skin.

Sugars

Sugars act as natural lather boosters, increasing foam and improving the cleansing experience.

 Specialty Ingredients

Hops and brewer’s yeast found in BEER offer great benefits for the skin, and the natural sugars help enhance lather for a more luxurious wash.

ACTIVATED CHARCOAL is excellent for deeply cleansing your skin by drawing out dirt, oil, and impurities.

ALOE is a popular ingredient known for its refreshing and nourishing properties on the skin.

The active compound curcumin in TURMERIC offers amazing benefits for your skin.

Cold Processed Soap vs. Hot Processed Soap

When crafting our handmade soaps, we use either a cold processing method or a hot processing method.  What does that even mean?  The act of saponification, what makes soap “soap”, is done at different stages because of the temperatures of the ingredients.  During cold processing, the batch is made using lower temperatures and saponification happens a day or so after.  Hot processing forces saponification during the “cook” even before it is placed in the mold.  Cold processed soap is more fluid and allows for the pretty designs and swirls.  Hot processed soap is more “ rustic” but still makes a beautiful bar of soap.
